Synopsis

The knowledgeable treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathology conditions remains a basic foundation of our specialty. Together with related reconstructive surgery principles and techniques, oral and maxillofacial surgeons have gained a prominent place in today's healthcare system. The senior clinician of this lunch and learn lecture is the author of the textbook "Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology a Rationale for Diagnosis and Treatment" which won the American Medical Writers Association's highest award for 2002. His insight and experience in both diagnosis and treating oral pathology should be of direct value to participants.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Improve diagnostic skills and treatment outcomes;
  2. Clarify treatment options for clinicians; and
  3. Gain an understanding of correct terminology for pathologic lesions.
