Synopsis

The participant will learn how to implement Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for infection control. Take always include: an infection control checklist, how to evaluate your office infection control program and a variety of reliable resources for infection control information. Hands-on demonstration and audience participation encouraged.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

Update infection control practices by implementing the CDC infection control recommendations;
Evaluate their own infection control protocols for effectiveness. Areas that do not meet minimum standards for infection control will be easily identified and corrected; and
Identify appropriate products/protocols for cleaning and disinfecting devices and clinical contact surfaces, and for sterilizing instruments.
