Synopsis
Attacking OMS practices with a variety of different "scams and schemes," white-collar criminals/employees are embezzling from practices each and every day. This seminar gives the OMS proven take-home internal controls to safeguard the financial portion of their practices to "Protect What they Collect." This seminar is powerfully designed and developed for all OMSs so they can empower themselves with knowledge to reduce the risk of becoming a victim. They will learn to "trust but verify." This course is open only to AAOMS Fellows/Members and their spouses.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Better identify the potential risk factors involved with employees who may have the propensity to commit this silent, but devastating crime;
- Diagnose and understand, through real-life cases, the practice management software and to be able to determine the accuracy of financial transactions. Identify the latest security features to help the OMS "Protect what they Collect."
