Becoming successful in a private oral and maxillofacial surgery practice is similar to making it to the major leagues in baseball. Leaving residency is like transitioning from the minor leagues to the "Big League." This presentation will offer practical advice on making this transition a successful one. Details of starting a practice, setting up an office and managing the growth of a practice will be presented. The "rookie year" can be quite difficult. Experiences, successes and failures will be discussed. Samples of useful forms will be presented.
