Synopsis
Most patients instigate legal action against dentists due to confusion over a wide range of subjects: fees, payment issues, post-op instructions, informed consent, unmet expectations, miscommunication. Quality record keeping systems and strong management techniques both protect doctor from frivolous legal action while increasing patient satisfaction. "A patient's perception is everything."
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Take a proactive approach by speaking as one in patient communication as well as being unified in handling their practice management systems. In most cases, an oral surgeon and team don't get the luxury of having time to develop long term practice/patient relationships; and
- Develop specific practical solutions, systems, techniques and tips to ensure staff provide doctor's patients the highest level of legal and patient support.
