Recently, courts have seen verdicts in excess of $1,000,000 in oral and maxillofacial nerve injury cases. Traditional defenses of informed consent and risks of surgery have been eroded by new trial tactics and advances in technology. This informed course will review those changes and discuss the new standards of care, informed refusal and defense against such cases.
