Synopsis

This course will include a step-by-step overview of information regarding oral and maxillofacial surgery office design, financing and construction. It will assist members in making decisions about updating office interiors, renovating existing space or designing a new, freestanding office building. Lecturers will offer members guidance in comparing financing options for their project.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the sequence of steps in the design, financing and construction process;
  2. Identify the professionals needed to complete an office design project;
  3. Understand the concepts used by professions to develop building and site designs, including green, sustainable design;
  4. Analyze current and future financial position;
  5. Identify options such as starting from scratch versus acquisition and lease versus purchase; and
  6. Distinguish financing options.
