Michael S. Block, DMD
Clinical Professor, LSU School of Dentistry and Private Practice
Metairie, LA
Synopsis
Preoperative diagnosis is critical to develop the optimal treatment plan to result in an ideal level of the facial gingival margin. If the facial gingival on an implant is apical, the tooth is long and not esthetic. Procedures including orthodontic extrusion, hard and soft tissue grafts, and tenting procedures all must be timed to combine procedures with greatest predictability. Multiple cases, algorythms for treatment, and video technique of the procedures will be shown
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
- To provide the attendees with an understanding of the needs and timing of tooth extrusion prior to removal, and the timing of hard and soft tissue grafting to achieve the desired result; and
- To provide the attendees with a diagnostic and treatment algorythm to result in predictable management of the esthetic implant restoration.
