Synopsis

New knowledge concerning the biologic behavior of odontogenic cysts and tumors allow the clinician to gain more predictable cores and better outcomes related to function, cosmetics, and preservation of sensation. Specialized techniques can preserve nerves while removing the entire lesion, reconstruct the defect, and rehabilitate the patients jaw and dental functions.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Learn the surgical privileges to remove cysts and tumors;
  2. Realize a higher cure rate in their patient population; and
  3. Realize a better functional and cosmetic outcome.
