Synopsis

Pre and post Orthognathic and TMJ surgery patient management is important to insure good treatment outcomes. This program will present pre and post surgery orthodontic treatment, immediate and long term patient care, as well as identify common post surgery complications, etiology, avoidance, and management if a complication occurs.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Guide the orthodontist in performing stable orthodontics pre and post surgery to optimize treatment results.
  2. Manage patients immediate and long-term post surgery and address minor or major undesirable post surgical progression.
  3. Improve patient care and minimize complications to improve treatment outcomes.
