Contemporary Soft Tissue Grafting for Implant Reconstruction

Synopsis

This presentation will focus on the comprehensive application of soft tissue grafting techniques for optimal implant reconstruction. The indications, timing, and sequencing of connective tissue grafts, palatal epithelial grafts and acellular dermis matrix for alveolar bone augmentation will be featured in the esthetic and non esthetic zone. Surgical protocols for harvesting autogenous tissue grafts will be described step by step. Both partially and completely edentulous cases will be covered in detail.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the indications, timing, sequencing and application of connective tissue grafting for implant reconstruction;
  2. Describe the indications, timing, sequencing and application of palatal epithelial grafts for implant reconstruction; and
  3. Describe the indications, timing, sequencing and application of acellular dermis matrix for implant reconstruction.
