Management of the failing dentition often requires a team approach for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning. A thorough understanding of surgical and prosthetic principles is important for all team members to obtain predictable long-term esthetic and functional results. Case studies in treatment of the failing dentition/reconstruction will demonstrate design principles and prosthetic/surgical skill sets to avoid common pitfalls. This presentation will discuss full arch principles in staged and immediate implant reconstruction, as well as, the role of immediate fixed provisional restoration.
