Synopsis

This surgical clinic will focus on several factors like degree of root formation, patient's age and available space for eruption, which will lead for describing a surgical technique that will improve the clinical outcome, surgical timing and the clinical implication for the oral surgeon associated to preteen population.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the anatomical landmarks and relationships as well as indications, risks and possible complications of performing surgical procedures to extract partially formed third molars.
  2. Illustrate the surgical technique, osteotomy design and patient management during this type of procedure.
