Synopsis

Topical skin care is an important part of the complete surgical equation. Improving skin quality compliments the surgical procedure. Proper skin care is needed during wound healing. An evaluation of the use of hydroxy acids, vitamins, and botanicals will be presented along with the application of these compounds to treat wrinkles, dyspigmentation and oily and dry skin.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Develop daily skin care regimen to preserve the health of Skin. 2)Discuss the use of hydroxyl Acids, Topical Vitamins and botanicals in skin care products and how they effect the skin.
  2. Describe the antiaging myths and unsafe ingredients in skin care products and understand their cutaneous effects.
