Surgical treatment of pain and dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint has been underutilized in the recent past. Several surgical approaches have been proven to result in positive outcomes. This symposium will focus on those proven surgical approaches that result in success. New technology will be presented that will expand the utilization of surgery and improve outcomes. Using these methods will enhance the practitioner's management of diseases of the TMJ.
