Implants in the Growing Child


Synopsis

Implant placement in children with alveolar clefts and/or partial anodontia present different management and planning scenarios than implant placement in the adult patient. This symposium will address the surgical and prosthetic management of the edentulous child as well as the long term results of implants placed into grafted alveolar clefts.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the surgical management options for the edentulous child;
  2. Discuss the options for prosthetic management of the edentulous child; and
  3. Discuss the long-term results of implants placed into grafted alveolar clefts.
