Despite many years of basic and clinical research, clinicians are still having problems successfully managing many patients with temporomandibular disorders. In trying to explain the reasons for this difficulty, there are often complex explanations given. In reality, it is often the little mistakes in diagnosis and treatment that are responsible. In this presentation, the common errors that clinicans in the management of patients with tempormandibular disorders will be identified and proper methods of treatment will be discussed.
