Let’s face it; hiring and firing are two of our least favorite things to do. And training is something that we are usually ill-equipped to do well. The new employee is typically thrown into the job with little or no instruction about the results we expect. Attend this course to learn the important skills you will need to recruit the best people, inspire them to be productive and loyal and know when and how to cut them loose when it doesn’t work out.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify seven steps to successful hiring, utilize recruitment and interviewing techniques and eliminate wasted hours interviewing unqualified candidates;
  2. Find out the role and value of orientation, learn how to set clear expectations of performance with an appropriate training program and how to use feedback to improve performance; and
  3. Identify your legal responsibility and know the how, where and when to best deliver the bad news.
