Management of Lip Cancer and Premalignant Lesion

Synopsis

Surgeons are frequently confronted with the need to diagnose and treat lip cancer. This clinic will address the fundamentals in diagnosis and treatment of lip cancer and pre-malignant lesions. Treatment modalities will be examined with emphasis to surgical resection and reconstruction of the defects with local, regional, and distant flaps.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. The goal of this clinic is to address the fundamentals in diagnosis and treatment of lip cancer and pre-malignant lesions of the lips.
  2. To describe use of appropriate local, regional and distant flaps for appropriate reconstruction of defects post resection of lip cancer
