Synopsis

Orthognathic surgery patients require a tremendous amount of preparatory lab time prior to surgery. Using the three dimensional CT scan technology we will be demonstrating the practical application of using Virtual Model surgery and Cad Cam Splint fabrication. A practical step by step approach to the pre surgical work up and data acquisition will be demonstrated. The actual model surgery will then be simulated.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. see increased use of the virtual surgery to decrease amount of time in the lab in preparation for jaw surgery
  2. see increased online model surgery used to streamline process for jaw surgery and decrease time needed in the lab.
