Synopsis

Cleft lip and palate surgery is part of the contemporary scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Bone grafting of the nasoalveolar fistula and the repair of palatal fistulae is often delegated to to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. We intend to present the techniques and methods for performing such procedures in a simple manner.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the various needs and surgeries indicated in the cleft lip and palate patient
  2. Present the indications, methods and techniques of performing nasoalveolar bone grafting and palatal fitulae repair in the cleft lip and palate patient
