Synopsis

Surgical orthodontic treatment utilizing the AOO technique offers patients a viable option to the longer treatment timeframe using conventional orthodontics. It also provides a surgical method to effectively eliminate dehiscences and root resorption while affording the surgeon an alternative and adjunctive approach to the management of dento-facial deformities.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe an effective surgical/orthodontic technique for reducing treatment time.
  2. Describe an effective method for reducing complications seen in conventional orthodontic treatment.
  3. Describe an effective, less invasive, alternative approach in the correction of dento-facial deformities.
