Concomitant Injuries Associated with Facial Injuries


This symposium will review the necessity for systemic and regional trauma survey assessment injuries that may be contiguous and/or related to facial injury insults.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe occult vital pathway structure insults.
  2. Discuss neurologic sequela, cervical spine, and head injury.
  3. Explain the integration of the evaluation of contiguous traumatic injuries often found in association with facial trauma and the forces that cause this disruption.
