Letter of Invitation

If you require a letter of invitation for visa purposes, you may submit an online request.

Meeting Facilities

Educational sessions and the exhibition will take place at the Orange County Convention Center West, Orlando, FL, unless otherwise noted in the program.

The business sessions, opening ceremony, welcome reception, some educational sessions and other social functions will take place at the headquarters hotel, The Hyatt Regency Orlando (formerly The Peabody), unless otherwise specified. Session locations are indicated throughout the program.

AAOMS has secured room blocks at a number of host hotels, all within close proximity to the Orange County Convention Center West.

Attire

Business attire is requested for all annual meeting sessions. Orlando's average October temperature is 76° F.

Resort-casual attire is appropriate for the President's Event.

General Sessions

General meeting registration grants admission to all:

  • Symposia
  • Abstract and poster sessions
  • Open forums
  • CIG programs
  • Exhibition

Individual session tickets are required for all clinical and hands-on courses. Daily passes are required for admission to practice clinics and professional allied staff courses. See the following descriptions for specific information.

Tickets and passes are obtained by submitting a completed registration form online, by mail or via fax.

Clinical Courses
Attendance for each clinical course is limited. Attendance is determined on a first-come, first-served registration basis. AAOMS fellows/members will be given first priority. Tickets are required for all clinical courses. When registering for these clinics, indicate your choice in order of preference in the space provided on the registration form. Tickets may also be purchased on site, subject to space availability.

New in 2013: Day Pass—Practice Management and Allied Staff Sessions
New at this year’s annual meeting – the Practice Management and Allied Staff Sessions Day Pass lets you and your team members attend as many practice management/allied staff sessions as your schedule will allow for one low daily registration fee. Say “goodbye” to per-course fees that limit your program options. With the new Day Pass, each team member pays one flat fee for an unlimited array of choices, including morning and afternoon sessions, a variety of topics that address the unique needs of your practice, and a renowned faculty of experts eager to share their knowledge with you. Maximize your time in Orlando this October. Order the new Practice Management and Allied Staff Sessions Day Pass for your team. All registrants must pay the general registration fee in addition to the Day Pass cost. Seating for these events is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anesthesia Assistants Skills Lab
Tickets are required for the anesthesia assistant’s skills lab and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to register early. This course sells out quickly.

AAOMS Online Meeting Evaluation and Continuing Education Credit Transcripts

AAOMS will collect educational session evaluations and provide continuing education(CE) credit transcripts using an Internet-based system - giving you greater control over your CE credit. Save your badge. You will need to reference your meeting badge ID number when logging in to the system.

Audio and Video Recording Sales

Earn CDE and/or CME credit for most AAOMS conference recordings starting with the 2013 Annual Meeting. Special prices are available exclusively for registered attendees. An extensive online collection of session recordings will be available for purchase after the meeting; no purchases will be available on-site. Visit aaoms.org/recordings for all the details.

Annual Meeting Photography

As a service to fellows and members, the AAOMS photographer will take photographs throughout the meeting. Photographs will be available online for viewing and ordering within a couple of weeks after the annual meeting. At that time, you may access the photographer's web site through aaoms.org. Photographing AAOMS educational sessions and events by individual attendees is strictly prohibited.

Consent to Use Photographic Images and Recordings

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, AAOMS meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to AAOMS's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, electronic reproductions, video and audio recordings of such events and activities. No individual or entity may electronically record any portion of the conference.

Children

Children are allowed in the Exhibit Hall at the Orange County Convention Center West; however, they must wear a meeting badge and be accompanied by an adult. Meeting badges for children are available at no charge at the AAOMS Registration Center.

Children, even if wearing a meeting badge and accompanied by an adult, are not allowed entry into any of the educational sessions held at the Orange County Convention Center West.

Press/Media Relations Booth

Members of the media are required to register in the AAOMS Press Booth, located in the Orange County Convention Center West. You will be issued credentials to allow access to particular sessions and the exhibit hall.

Allied Organization Event Space Request

To complete the event space request form visit www.aaoms.org/space. The Online Request Form is due May 6. Space will be assigned in order of request receipt. Please be sure to complete all requested information. If you have an elaborate function that requires additional set-up or dismantle time, please note this on the request form in the comment section.
