The Dental Implant Assisting Skills Lab is being presented in conjunction with the AAOMS Dental Implant Conference. This skills lab is a 3-hour training session incorporating didactic and hands-on training for oral and maxillofacial surgery assistants. The skills lab will begin with a short presentation on implants, including placement and use of various bone grafting techniques and grafting material for the preparation and placement of implants and/or as augmentation materials in existing dental implants. This will be followed by a lecture and demonstration of aseptic technique for implant surgery, then all participants will take part in placing an actual implant in a bone model. Assistants completing the lab will be able to explain the procedures required for aseptic surgical technique in implant placement surgery. Participants will also be able to discuss the techniques and equipment required to place a dental implant and leave with an understanding of the physical skills necessary to place a dental implant. All levels of skill are welcome to attend this course.

The Dental Implant Assisting Skills Lab will take place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, 301 East North Water Street, Chicago, Illinois.
AAOMS will be offering two identical sessions of this course. Please note that the morning course will be repeated in the afternoon. Registration for this course is limited to 60 participants per session. Registration fee for this course is $225.00. Please complete the registration form.
This course is separate from the Dental Implant Conference. If you plan on having your assistant attend the Dental Implant Conference, please check the appropriate box on the assistant's course registration form and enclose the appropriate fees.
This course has been approved for 3 Continuing Dental Education Hours. The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.
