Check out our NEW online educational programs!
June 15th, 2011
Two exciting, new educational programs are now available at www.aaoms.org/ceonline.
Dr. Edmond Bedrossian's March 16th webinar "A Systematic Treatment Planning Protocol for the Reconstruction of the Edentulous Maxilla with a Fixed Final Prosthesis" is now available under the Dental Implants category. This 60-minute webinar examines three critical factors necessary to provide a fixed restoration. These critical factors can be used as a screening mechanism to determine the possibility of a fixed implant restoration and the likelihood of necessary bone grafting procedures to achieve the desired outcome. Dr. Befrosian discusses the use of 4 vs. 6 implants for the support of a fixed maxillary prosthesis, as well as potential complications and their management, with suggestions for "bail out" procedures.
For the first time, AAOMS is pleased to present an online interactive program presented by Andrew Herlich, DMD, MD, Chairman, Department of Anesthesiology and Director, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, Pittsburgh, PA. This interactive 60-minute program titled "Perioperative Anaphylaxis and Latex Allergy: Details to Identify and Reduce Adverse Outcomes" is divided into two parts. The first portion discusses perioperative anaphylaxis in general terms and, due to the increasing numbers of patients and colleagues with the problem, latex allergy will be the focus of the second part of the discussion. This program can be found under the Anesthesia category.
The cost for each course is $95 for members and $130 for non-members and each carries 1.0 hour CME/CDE credit.
