Cosmetic Surgery Offerings from AAOMS

September 13th, 2013

New Webinar available for streaming!

Facial Liposuction for Cosmetic Facial Surgery

Facial liposuction surgery can be a useful tool for the oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Many patients seeking orthognathic surgery or cosmetic facial procedures may benefit from facial recontouring using suction assisted lipectomy. The clinician can greatly influence and benefit the final esthetic outcomes by offering facial recontouring with liposuction.

After completing this 1-hour webinar, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the clinical indications for offering facial liposuction and apply to patient selection;
  2. Explain the procedure and the instrumentation to perform facial liposuction safely and effectively; and
  3. Recognize and treat complications associated with facial liposuction.

Your Webinar presenter is Dr. Faisal Quereshy, MD, DDS, FACS. Dr. Quereshy is an associate professor and the residency program director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He is double Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS). Dr. Quereshy completed one-year postgraduate general surgery training and a specialized fellowship program, accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), in Facial Plastic Surgery (2000).
