OMS Faculty and Residents
Education is the foundation of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Top quality residency programs ensure that the profession thrives, improving the lives of patients and practitioners for decades to come.
OMS Faculty Section
The OMS Faculty Section provides a discussion forum for OMS educators; develops improved methods of residency, predoctoral and postdoctoral education in oral and maxillofacial surgery and encourages clinical and laboratory research within residency and helps to ensure a continuing supply of outstanding faculty for residency, predoctoral and postdoctoral programs.
The National Curriculum Database (NCD) is a secure database for OMS faculty to share educational resources and access high quality teaching materials to expand their teaching resources. This database was developed to support OMS faculty members in their preparation of teaching materials and assessment tools for predoctoral students and/or OMS residents.

Resident Organization of the AAOMS
As a resident enrolled in an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, you are automatically a resident member of the AAOMS. The Resident Organization of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ROAAOMS™) was established in 1994 to provide OMS residents a forum for discussion of resident issues, to familiarize residents with organized dentistry and medicine, and to support residents in their development as future leaders of the specialty.
Through ROAAOMS, residents become acquainted with the specialty and the Association, share common experiences, and glean insights from colleagues around the country.
