Submit 2017 Annual Meeting abstracts, posters and "How I Do It" presentations
Applications now accepted for:
- Oral Abstracts
- Scientific Posters
- “How I Do It” Presentations
Oral abstracts and scientific posters
Oral abstracts are 6- to 7-minute lectures on research followed by a brief question-and-answer period.
Scientific posters are visual displays of research highlights. Authors have the opportunity to present their research at the meeting through both physical poster boards and online e-posters.
Oral abstracts and scientific posters will be presented at various times October 12-14 during the 2017 Annual Meeting. While abstracts and posters are accepted on a variety of clinical topics, submissions on dental implants and TMJ surgery in particular are desired for this year’s two clinical module programs, and maxillofacial oncology and reconstructive surgery (MORS) are needed specifically for the MORS program.
Apply via the online submission process by February 19.
OMS residents submitting oral abstracts also are eligible to apply for AAOMS Resident Research Awards, which are selected on the basis of scientific manuscript quality.
“How I Do It” presentations
Is there a technique you’ve discovered that works particularly well in your practice? Consider sharing your surgical knowledge with your colleagues at the 2017 Annual Meeting. Brief, fast-paced "How I Do It" presentations will be an integral part of the dental implant module program on October 12 and the TMJ module program on October 13. If you’re interested in speaking at the Annual Meeting, this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for – even if you’ve never formally presented at a conference before. Apply online by February 19.
