Sample NPI letter for your referring dentists

AAOMS has drafted a sample letter to assist you in encouraging your referring dentists to apply for an NPI. Even if your referring dentists are not currently rendering electronic transactions, by obtaining an NPI it will help you to file claims on your patients' behalf, since you will be required to supply the referring doctor's NPI when submitting claims for consultations, or other referred procedures and services beginning May 2007.
