When opening a practice, consideration should be given to obtaining accreditation from one of the nationally recognized accrediting bodies: (1) Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC); (2) The Joint Commission; and (3) Medicare Facility Certification. In regards to information about how and where to obtain financing for opening up your own practice, you may want to contact your state dental society to ask if they can provide you with a reference for a banking institution in the area where you may be able to obtain financing.
