Proof of Human Subject Protection and Ethical Training
There are several options in human subject protection and ethical training. If you have not completed this training in the last 2 years, you will need to become certified. AAOMS suggests completing the NIH training for human subject protection and ethical training at no cost. To become certified go to phrp.nihtraining.com. If you are currently certified by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiatives (CITI) for human subject protection and ethical training, you may submit proof of the training to fulfill this requirement.

- Register as a new user and create a password.
- You may proceed through the entire training at one time, or you can complete one module at a time and go back at a later time. Your record of completion progress is maintained in the system.
- The course consist of 7 parts and is based on 3 principles: Respect for People, Beneficence and Justice
- 4 of the modules have short quizzes which have to be successfully completed
- Upon completion of the training, you will be prompted to print your certificate. You can also earn CME credit.
- The estimated time for completion of the training can be from 45 minutes up to two hours.
