In-person conference with online access registration

Attendees who register by Oct. 31 will receive their registration packets – including conference badge, badge holder and any preconference tickets – in the mail before the conference.*

Those registering after Oct. 31 will pay the onsite registration rate and must pick up their conference badges onsite at the AAOMS Registration Center. Advance registration will save time when arriving at the conference and is strongly recommended.

*International (non-U.S. and non-Canada) registrants must check in at the AAOMS Registration Center at Sheraton Grand Chicago. AAOMS regrets it is unable to mail registration packets to addresses outside the United States and Canada.

Online-only access registration

The Dental Implant Conference preconference program and general sessions will be live-streamed. This allows participation from the home or office. This is a convenient alternative for those who cannot travel to Chicago. Member and non-member rates are available. Visit the 2021 Registration page to register for the Online-only access option.

Online-only access registration will include live coverage as well as 60 days of archived access. The web-based event will stream the conference’s live general sessions from 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. CST Friday, Dec. 3, and 8 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. CST Saturday, Dec. 4. For an additional fee, the preconference program Thursday, Dec. 2, also will be offered to the online-only audience. CDE/CME credit is included.

AAOMS residents can access the livestream at no cost.

Questions about the livestream should be emailed to AAOMS virtualsupport@aaoms.org.

Information and instructions will be available later this fall.

There will be no Media/Press Registration Booth at the Dental Implant Conference. Media and press representatives wishing to attend the Dental Implant Conference must notify AAOMS communications staff in advance of the conference to register. Press badges are available only to working press who can show evidence their attendance results in coverage of the AAOMS conference in print, broadcast or recognized internet media. AAOMS reserves the right to inspect the credentials of anyone registering as press. Working press may not also register as exhibitors.

To obtain a press badge, identification certifying you are a working member of the print or broadcast news media and/or a letter stating you are on assignment to cover the conference is required. Membership cards from communications or writers’ organizations are not sufficient to establish eligibility. Press badges allow access to the Exhibit Hall. AAOMS reserves the right to restrict press attendance at any portion of the conference. Media and press representatives must agree to adhere to the AAOMS Press Guidelines, which are available upon request.

For more information, contact AAOMS communications staff at 847-678-6200.

COVID-19 safety and vaccination verification

As of 11/23/2021

Health and safety measures at 2021 Dental Implant Conference

AAOMS’s top priority is to provide a safe and productive meeting experience for attendees.

As such, all attendees, speakers, exhibitors and guests at the 2021 Dental Implant Conference must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19. Acceptable vaccines are those with FDA or WHO approval or emergency use authorization. An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Note: Chicago does not require vaccinated individuals to quarantine or be tested for the virus.

AAOMS will be using Health Pass by CLEAR, which provides a secure, digital proof of COVID-related health information via the free CLEAR mobile app (Event code: EFATTENDEE3). In addition to Health Pass, proof of vaccination with a photo ID will be accepted onsite. To learn more, read the vaccination verification section below.

Due to Chicago’s indoor mask mandate, masks will be required to be worn at all times at the conference. While AAOMS will do its best to maintain appropriate physical distancing, there may be areas and times during the conference that close proximity to others will occur.

AAOMS will continue to monitor CDC recommendations and update safety measures as appropriate. For the most up-to-date information on the 2021 conference health and safety precautions and requirements, continue to monitor this page.

AAOMS’s online-only meeting option will allow unvaccinated individuals – or those facing travel restrictions – to participate in the meeting remotely. The online-only access will offer 100 percent of eligible meeting programming with on-demand content available through Feb. 6, 2022. To help accommodate attendee preferences, AAOMS is now offering the online-only meeting at the same price as the in-person option. Contact the AAOMS registration team to request a registration be changed from in-person to online-only access.

Vaccination status for 2021 Dental Implant Conference

For the purpose of attendance at the conference which starts on Dec. 2, an individual is considered fully vaccinated*:

  • Two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
  • Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

*Note: Acceptable vaccines are those with approval or emergency use authorization from the FDA – including Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen – or from the WHO, including AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Sinopharm and Sinovac. To learn more, view the full list of vaccines with final WHO EUL/PQ evaluation status.

If an attendee, speaker, exhibitor, staff or guest does not meet these requirements, he or she is considered NOT fully vaccinated and will not be permitted to attend the 2021 Dental Implant Conference in-person.

Vaccination verification

As part of AAOMS’s commitment to safety at the 2021 Dental Implant Conference, all attendees must provide proof of vaccination before checking in. Specifics include:

  • AAOMS will be using Health Pass by CLEAR, which provides a secure, digital proof of COVID-related health information via the free CLEAR mobile app. Attendees can complete their health screening with Health Pass by CLEAR ahead of time for expedited check-in and entry:
    • Download the app and enroll:

      Event code: EFATTENDEE3
The event will be called Attendee Health Pass.
  • In addition to Health Pass, proof of vaccination with a photo ID will be accepted onsite.
  • For the most efficient entry possible, attendees should enroll with CLEAR before the conference to complete COVID-19 pre-screening.
Once a vaccination record has been uploaded to the platform, verification of status typically takes up to 30 minutes. All attendees are encouraged to complete this process at least 24 hours before the conference.
  • Attendees need to check-in only once during the conference and, upon check-in, will be issued a sticker to be placed on their badge, indicating they have undergone vaccination verification.

Follow these steps to set up an account:
