Review this list to help you decide where to dine and relax during the 2023 AAOMS Annual Meeting. Restaurants featured serve a range of cuisines including Italian, Greek, Japanese, Mexican or just classic San Diegan. This list was populated using lists of essential restaurants from Eater San Diego and Thrillist (menus are subject to change).

- barleymash – Enjoy new takes on classic American cuisine at barleymash. Afterward, head downstairs to the ginger’s lounge.
- Meze Greek Fusion – Featuring Greek cuisine with a Southern California twist.
- Hodad’s Downtown – Consider trying the Guido Burger inspired by Guy Fieri (of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives) or the Blue Jay bacon cheeseburger.
- Lolita’s Mexican Food – Family-owned and operated since 1984, this authentic Mexican restaurant makes everything from scratch daily with locally sourced produce.
- Animae – Head over to Animae where the cuisine centers around a Japanese robata grill, coal-fired oven and global ingredients.
- Morning Glory – A brunch spot with new takes on global breakfast favorites.
- Callie – Embrace the blending of Mediterranean cuisines with ingredients and flavors for which San Diego is known.
- Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop – Indulge in contemporary Western-flair American cuisine.
- Kindred – This eatery features vegan food, creative drinks and a playlist of heavy metal music.
- Liberty Public Market – The market features restaurants such as Corvette Diner, Primos Mexican Food & Cantina and Hawaiian Fresh Seafood.
- Farmer’s Bottega – Dine on locally sourced, fresh cuisine.
- El Agave Restaurant and Tequileria – Enjoy authentic Mexican dishes at El Agave Restaurant & Tequileria.
- Metl Bar Restaurant – Named after the Nahuatl word for agave, Metl Bar is a rock music-inspired pub and restaurant known for its Tex-Mex dishes.
