Dental Implant Conference FAQs

What are the registration opportunities for this year’s Dental Implant Conference?

To support the needs and preferences of attendees, two registration opportunities are offered:

  • In-person conference with online access includes attendance at general sessions as well as access to online recordings until Feb. 1. Didactic preconference courses are available for an additional fee.
  • Online-only access includes live-streamed and recorded general sessions until Feb. 1. Access to live-streamed and recorded preconference sessions are available for an additional fee.

Recorded in-person content will be added to the online program and accessible to registrants by Dec. 11.

Will all in-person sessions be available via livestream?

No. The conference general sessions and didactic preconference sessions (for an additional fee) are available via live-stream. Participants can view the online program for the full list of live-streamed sessions. The general sessions also will be recorded and provided as archived content Dec. 11 to Feb. 1.

When does access to the online platform end?

Participants will be able to access the online conference platform and all recorded sessions until 11:59 p.m. CST Feb. 1. No extensions can be granted.

What is the ticketing process?

Paid tickets are required for the preconference program. If you registered for a preconference session, the ticket is included in each registration packet. Available tickets can be purchased through advance registration. After Nov. 27, tickets (if still available) will be sold only onsite at the AAOMS Attendee Registration Center in the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.

Conference general sessions do not require tickets.

Access to the live-streamed sessions will be available to registrants only at AAOMS.org/DICprogram by logging in with their email address and eight-digit registration/member ID number.

How do I log in to the conference platform?

Each attendee will be sent platform access instructions to the email account used to register for the conference. An account may be logged in to only one device at a time. Sharing account access is prohibited.

What equipment do I need to view sessions?

The online conference platform is compatible with laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. For optimum access, disconnect from a VPN (if possible). A strong internet connection of 1.4 Mbps is recommended.

AAOMS highly recommends accessing the site through Google Chrome for all conference platform features. Internet Explorer is not recommended.

Testing your device is an effective way to ensure you are ready to access meeting content. The platform provides a system check tool that runs a series of checks on your computer and web browsers to receive confirmation your device is suitable to use the full potential of the platform.

How do I fix connection issues in the conference platform?

If you have connection or audio issues while attending a session, check your internet connection, refresh your browser or re-enter the session. Also try checking the speaker audio icon or laptop volume. AAOMS highly recommends using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
