What are the registration opportunities for this year’s Dental Implant Conference?

Answer:

To support the needs and preferences of attendees, two registration opportunities are offered:

  • In-person conference with online access includes attendance at general sessions as well as access to online recordings until Feb. 1. Didactic preconference courses are available for an additional fee.
  • Online-only access includes live-streamed and recorded general sessions until Feb. 1. Access to live-streamed and recorded preconference sessions are available for an additional fee.
When will on-demand content be available?

Answer:

Recorded in-person content will be added to the online program and accessible to registrants by Dec. 11.

Will all in-person sessions be available via livestream?

Answer:

No. The conference general sessions and didactic preconference sessions (for an additional fee) are available via live-stream. Participants can view the online program for the full list of live-streamed sessions. The general sessions also will be recorded and provided as archived content Dec. 11 to Feb. 1.

When does access to the online platform end?

Answer:

Participants will be able to access the online conference platform and all recorded sessions until 11:59 p.m. CST Feb. 1. No extensions can be granted.

What is the ticketing process?

Answer:

Paid tickets are required for the preconference program. If you registered for a preconference session, the ticket is included in each registration packet. Available tickets can be purchased through advance registration. After Nov. 27, tickets (if still available) will be sold only onsite at the AAOMS Attendee Registration Center in the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.

Conference general sessions do not require tickets.

Access to the live-streamed sessions will be available to registrants only at AAOMS.org/DICprogram by logging in with their email address and eight-digit registration/member ID number.

ONLINE ACCESS INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS

How do I log in to the conference platform?

Answer:

Each attendee will be sent platform access instructions to the email account used to register for the conference. On or after Nov. 30, registrants can visit AAOMS.org/DICprogram and log in with their email address and unique eight-digit registration/member ID number. An account may be logged in to only one device at a time. Sharing account access is prohibited.

What equipment do I need to view sessions?

Answer:

The online conference platform is compatible with laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. For optimum access, disconnect from a VPN (if possible). A strong internet connection of 1.4 Mbps is recommended.

AAOMS highly recommends accessing the site through Google Chrome for all conference platform features. Internet Explorer is not recommended.

Testing your device is an effective way to ensure you are ready to access meeting content. The platform provides a system check tool that runs a series of checks on your computer and web browsers to receive confirmation your device is suitable to use the full potential of the platform.

How do I fix connection issues in the conference platform?

Answer:

If you have connection or audio issues while attending a session, check your internet connection, refresh your browser or re-enter the session. Also try checking the speaker audio icon or laptop volume. AAOMS highly recommends using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

What if my schedule prevents me from viewing sessions live?

Answer:

Attendees can access recorded and on-demand sessions at AAOMS.org/DICprogram Dec. 11, 2023, to Feb. 1, 2024.

How will I access on-demand sessions?

Answer:

Attendees can access sessions by logging in at AAOMS.org/DICprogram using their email address and eight-digit registration/member ID number. Beginning Dec. 11, all recorded sessions will be available. Access to the conference platform ends at 11:59 p.m. CST Feb. 1, 2024.

Can I register for the conference and get immediate access?

Answer:

Online access begins Nov. 30. Those who register after Nov. 30 will gain immediate access.

Will there be an Virtual Exhibit Hall?

Answer:

Yes. The conference includes a Virtual Exhibit Hall (AAOMS.org/DICvxh) with exhibitor contact information, product categories and booth numbers.

How do I claim CE and evaluate sessions?

Answer:

Visit AAOMS.org/MyCE to claim CE and evaluate sessions. You will need your eight-digit registration/member ID number found in the preconference email or your AAOMS.org profile.

ONSITE INFORMATION

How do I connect to the wireless internet onsite?

Answer:

Wi-Fi will be available on the Ballroom and Exhibit Hall levels of the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk on Dec. 1 and 2. No password is required.

How do I download the conference mobile app?

Answer:

The Dental Implant Conference Mobile App will be available in mid-November. When it is available, users of Apple or Android devices may visit the Apple App Store or Google Play from the device and search for AAOMS Events.

How do I get my CE credit?

Answer:

Claim CE credit for sessions you attend via the mobile app or at AAOMS.org/MyCE. Sessions can be evaluated until March 3, 2024.

On the website, log in to the system using your email address and eight-digit registration/member ID. If you are evaluating a paid ticketed session, you must be registered for that session in order to complete the evaluation and receive credit. Questions? Email AAOMS Continuing Education staff.

Where and how do I get handouts?

Answer:

If available, handouts can be accessed on a session’s detailed information page at AAOMS.org/DICprogram. Handouts also can be downloaded through the conference mobile app. Note: Not all speakers have provided handouts.

Where’s the Exhibit Hall? What are the hall hours?

Answer:

The Riverwalk Exhibition Hall is in the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. The hours are:

When are the industry-hosted sessions?

Answer:

One Lunch and Learn and four Industry Symposiums are being held Nov. 30. Space is available to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there a message board where I can post messages to other attendees?

Answer:

There is not a message board. However, attendees can connect with colleagues through the mobile app as long as they have given permission for the app to show their profile.
